



Kaila “Key” Gumbs (They/She) is an artist investigating the turbulent relationship between esoteric spirituality, traditional religion, ancestry, and ethereal beings whom imbricate inside and outside the western binaries. Through Key’s interdisciplinary process, these invisible figures and their tangible energies are analyzed to provide comfort for all who exist at odds to social and cultural norms.
Key graduated in 2022 with a BFA in Art + Technology from the University of Florida. As a South Florida native, they currently reside at Studio 18 Art Complex in Pembroke Pines, FL as a resident artist. They work closely with Broward and Miami underground artists, creating album covers influenced from the 90s and early 2000s video games and cartoons.
